Singapore showed the world that we can throw a good party through the many events that formed the Singapore GP Season. Held from 20 September to 5 October, the Singapore GP Season showcased various Formula OneT-themed activities, entertainment events and lifestyle festivals as well as shopping and dining promotions that got visitors and Singaporeans all revved up during the race period.
Here, P@ssport brings you some of the highlights of the Singapore GP Season.
Singapore River Festival (19 to 28 September 2008)
Singapore's historic district dazzled with nightly festivities during the Singapore River Festival. Southeast Asia's first ever mega illusion show, 'The Impossible Journey' by local illusionist J C Sum and 'Magic Babe' Ning, brought audiences a visual feat at Central as Sum and Ning teleported individuals across the river; while traditional bumboats were decorated for a special float parade that culminated in a visually spectacular dance drama, 'Legenda Singapura'. There was also special walking tours 'Of Dali, Barley and Hadhramis™', a pub walk featuring the historic Clarke Quay and Riverside Point and 'The Tipple Exchange', a Boat Quay pub walk, and multiple parties held along the riverside.

Singapore Beer Festival (2 to 5 October 2008)
The Singapore Beer Festival showcased hundreds of beers from the world's breweries including rare brews from places as far away as the Isle of Wright and Coney Island, some available for the first time in Asia. A trade and consumer event set within the lush tropical landscape of Fort Canning Park, the Festival not only offered trade visitors a significant opportunity to meet and interact with industry professionals and key decision makers from the region, but also featured local and international music artists.
STYLO Fashion Grand Prix, Singapore (26 September)
Southeast Asia's socialites and discerning fashionistas gathered at the STYLO Fashion Grand Prix, Singapore, a glamourous fashion lifestyle gala event that featured runway models showcasing internationally-renowned luxury labels and leading fashion designers from Singapore and the region. Held at the Mercedes-Benz Centre, which was transformed into a sophisticated party venue, the event also featured 'Speed and Spirit' - a display of motor sports and legendary race stories of the prestigious Mercedes-Benz cars.
Singapore Motorshow 2008 (26 September - 5 October)
Already established itself as a must-visit for car enthusiasts, this year's Singapore Motorshow 2008 was held at at Suntec Singapore, featuring sleek cutting-edge concept cars, the newest automobiles and the latest motor accessories and services.
ING Renault F1 Team Pavilion (29 August - 28 September)
Race fans got a rare opportunity to view Formula OneT cars up close at the ING Renault F1 Team Pavilion at Tang Plaza. The Renault F1 R28 show car will be on display flanked by the Mégane Renault F1 Team R26, Clio Renault F1 Team R27 and a full-sized replica of a real Formula One™ steering wheel.
