Corporate customers still driven by location and price

Times may have changed and hotel branding may have become more sophisticated, while customers may have evolved. But when it comes to corporate clients choosing their hotel, location, location, location remains as true today as it did when the hospitality industry was first invented.

What an adrenaline-filled month it's been.

Formula One™ fever descended on Singapore as we hosted the 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix over the last weekend of September, and has left us all breathless. It was wonderful to read all the positive reviews and media coverage of how Singapore has set a new benchmark for Formula One™ races. More importantly, we showcased to the world that Singapore can put on a good show and that we're more than just a business destination.

This month, we take a further look at Singapore's leisure and entertainment offerings. Korean stars Hyun Bin and Song Hye-Kyo were in Singapore recently to film Worlds Within, a Korean drama under the Film in Singapore scheme. The Contender, the Emmy-award winning reality TV series, also came to town and I had a chance to catch one of the exciting matches.

You can't say Singapore tourism doesn't deliver a punch that's way above its size and weight.

Sincerely,
Ken Low
