"2009 Reasons to enjoy Singapore" and counting

I had the opportunity to attend "An evening with Surreal Gourmet Bob Blumer" during the World Gourmet Summit. The definition of "surreal" is "very strange or dreamlike; bizarre" and must say I enjoyed his dreamy creations.

Dessert looked like egg and bacon, but was in fact white chocolate mousse with passion fruit filling; the "bacon" was a strip of white chocolate painted a streaky brown. Surreal, I thought, yet, uniquely creative.

The World Gourmet Summit is just one of the many reasons to visit Singapore and indeed, our "2009 Reasons to enjoy Singapore" gets into higher gear as more partners join us in the promotion with their own creative solutions.

This month, we share the newly launched initiatives and talk to industry partners about what else they are doing to stimulate demand. Collaboration and innovation are what will get us through this period and we invite our partners to join us in spreading the word about the many reasons to visit Singapore.
