Industry gets a leg up with F1 and a heads up on strategy

If you missed the news last month, you were probably in outer space. Yes, Formula 1 is coming to town.

This month, we also welcome Accor Asia Pacific, one of the world's largest hotel groups, to town. The company is relocating from Sydney to Singapore, proof once again that Singapore is the ideal business hub for companies serious about doing business in the region.

It is also building its largest Ibis in the region, indeed outside Paris, in our city.

All these play well with our goal of making Singapore a great place to live, work, play and invest – more of which many of you would have heard at the STB Industry Conference last month as well.

As someone said, Singapore is a way of life, and it's a way of life that's getting more exciting by the minute as more international events and companies embrace our city.
