Peak period strategies

The changes in Seoul are astounding. What I find most interesting is how tech-savvy the country is - Seoul has one of the highest Internet broadband connections among Asian cities and the Koreans love their gadgets, almost as much as we do in Singapore.

Which is why it was such a treat to be awarded "Best Website of City Promotion in Asia-Pacific" in the 2009 Seoul Tourism Awards. Our investment in our digital strategy is paying off in the right way. We also won "Best Sightseeing City in Asia-Pacific" which attests to Singapore's achievements in building attractive tourism products and quality infrastructure.

If the changes in Seoul are astounding, then the changes in Shanghai are mind-blowing. The city is on over-drive getting ready for World Expo 2010 Shanghai China and we will be making sure that Singapore's Urban Symphony is seen and heard by the millions of visitors expected to visit the event.

Elsewhere in this issue, there's the Singapore Food Festival to tuck into, the Singapore River Festival to dive into and the Singapore GP Season to gear up for.

All more Reasons for visitors to enjoy Singapore.

Sincerely,
Ken Low
