Top performances, all round

We've had an incredible first half of the year and our tourism performance looks set to continue. For the first time, our average hotel rates have breached the S$200 mark - I am sure our hotel partners must be celebrating.

We also have an amazing array of festivals and events lined up and for some performers, Singapore is their only stop in Asia. We talk with entertainment and event companies this month to get their views on their industry and how we can work together to bolster Singapore's positioning as the events capital of Asia.

Then, there's cruising which is really picking up steam with two more major cruise lines committed to a bigger presence in our seas.

And last but not least, congratulations to the first winners of the BTMICE sector. We salute you.
