Celebrate Singapore!

Going by astrology, Singapore, which celebrates its 44th birthday on August 9, would be a Leo - appropriate given we are the Lion City and that, as a destination, we share traditional Leo traits such as being generous, warmhearted, creative and enthusiastic.

Such traits have undoubtedly contributed to Singapore grabbing the Top International Meeting City accolade in the Union of International Associations (UIA) 2008 Global Rankings the for the second straight year. This month, we appreciate and take pride in Singapore's continuous progress as a top destination that delivers unique experiences.

We share comments on Singapore's changing tourism landscape and the exciting opportunities in store for us. With the recent launch of F1 ROCKS™, we look forward to the electrifying 2009 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX weekend and the action both on and off the track.

We also want to be more creative with our visitor offerings; which is why the Singapore Tourism Board is launching the new Singapore Experience Awards. We believe delivering great experiences is at the core of visitor satisfaction, and we want to celebrate the best experiences Singapore has to offer.
