DFS launches limited edition Johnnie
Walker® Black LabelT pack to commemorate the inaugural Formula OneT night race
in Singapore
In conjunction with the inaugural 2008 FORMULA 1T SingTel Singapore Grand Prix,
a range of exquisite limited-edition items have also been commissioned from
around the world.
. Luxury watch-maker Gèrald Genta, in a tribute to Singapore for being the
first Grand Prix city circuit race to take place at night, has produced the
Mickey Racing Singapore watch. Clad in a racing suit, the Walt Disney character
that has been linked to the brand since the early 80s is set in the centre of
the watch. Unique to this Singapore edition are elements such as the use of the
legendary Merlion icon, just above the dial. Only 50 pieces of this automatic
time piece have been produced.
. TAG Heuer will unveil a new TAG Heuer watch at its TAG Heuer "Racing Legends
of Our Time" Exhibition at the Paragon Atrium from 10 to 28 September. Inspired
by motor racing, just 150 limited edition watches have been produced to
commemorate the first Formula OneT Grand Prix night race in Singapore.
. As the official partners of the AT&T WilliamsF1 Team, Oris will be
launching and exhibiting their latest collection of Williams-inspired
timepieces - the WilliamsF1 Team Chronograph Silver, WilliamsF1 Team
Chronograph Black, WilliamsF1 Team Day Date Silver and WilliamsF1 Team Day Date
Black - at the Cortina Espace Boutique.
. The DFS and Johnnie Walker have partnered to produce the limited edition
Johnnie Walker® Black Label pack commemorating the Formula OneT race in
Singapore. This is the first time Johnnie Walker® has created a collector's
edition for a specific race on the Formula OneT calendar. The pack features a
midnight black carrying case designed to depict Singapore's skyline, and has
been stylised to incorporate aerodynamic elements inspired by the Vodafone
McLaren Mercedes MP4-23 race car. The world's first pack has been on sale at
DFS at Singapore Changi Airport since 1 August and will be available
exclusively to Singapore for 30 days before making its way to other selected
DFS outlets around the world from September.
