New Assistant Chief Executive (Leisure)

Ms Margaret Teo took over as Assistant Chief Executive (Leisure), with effect from 26 April 2007. In this capacity, she leads strategic development and marketing of the leisure tourism sector. She will continue to hold the concurrent appointments of Director, Integrated Resorts and Director, Travel and Hospitality Business.

Ms Teo takes over from Dr Chan Tat Hon who resigned from the Board and served his last day on 25 April 2007. The STB would like to thank Dr Chan for his dedicated service over the four years he has been with the Board and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

During his time with the STB, Dr Chan has been instrumental in laying the groundwork for the promotion of Singapore Medicine, developing the Cool Singapore Awards and galvanising the industry behind its implementation when Singapore was hit with SARS in 2003. He also played a key role in expanding STB's international operations aggressively, steering the development of the Tourism 2015 blueprint and the set up of the S$2 billion Tourism Development Fund.

New Directors

Ms Ong Huey Hong, joined the STB as Director, Corporate Planning on 26 April 2007.

Ms Carrie Kwik, previously Assistant Director, Sightseeing & Cruise Cluster Development, was appointed as Director, Sightseeing & Cruise from 23 April 2007. She takes over from Mr Dayne Lim who has resigned and served his last day of service on 20 April 2007.

Ms Lynette Pang, who was Covering Director, Events & Entertainment, was appointed as Director, Events & Entertainment from 18 April 2007. She takes over from Mr Oliver Chong who has been appointed as Regional Director, Europe.

 

Mr Andrew Phua, previously Area Director, Taiwan (Greater China), was appointed as Director, Tourism Shopping & Dining from 18 April 2007. He takes over from Dr Chan Tat Hon who was covering director for the division.
