Making its debut on 1 June 2010, Can You Serve is the world’s first reality TV programme that opens a window into a service career and the service industry. Filmed in Singapore, this new and entertaining series juxtaposes humour and human drama against the dynamism and demands faced by a service professional and provides viewers with a better understanding and appreciation of the challenges that service professionals encounter.
Nine contestants will use their creativity and wits in weekly service-oriented challenges.

Join nine contestants in Singapore on their service journey and discover whether they have what it takes to deliver quality service as they compete against one another in various challenging service situations across different service-oriented industries. The contestants undergo brief training in each episode to acquire vital skill sets to perform each task and are then evaluated based on their ability to manage realistic service situations. The winner will receive a cash prize of S$70,000 and training opportunities worth S$30,000.
Can You Serve is produced by activeTV, an award-winning production company known for its ground breaking production of The Amazing Race Asia. A joint initiative between activeTV and the GEMS Up * movement, supported by the Restaurant Association of Singapore, Singapore Hotel Association and Singapore Retailers Association, Can You Serve showcases the professionalism of the service industry and gives viewers a better appreciation of service professionals, making them more thoughtful of their role as a customer in the service equation.
The cast shared their experiences about working on the show at the exclusive media screening of the first episode at St James Power Station’s Peppermint Park Sports Bar.
The eight-part series will be anchored by host Denise Keller (renowned model and MTV Asia’s resident VJ) and two resident judges: Bentley Williams, an expert and transformational speaker on customer service; along with Colin Kerr, the Assistant Vice President – Entertainment of Star Cruises. A guest judge will also lend his/her experience and credentials to specific episodes.
Catch Can You Serve on Singapore’s MediaCorp Channel 5 from 9.00 pm to 9.30 pm every Tuesday beginning 1 June, with a finale on 20 July. Expect drama, laughter, tears, disappointment and triumph as contestants battle it out to become Singapore’s top service professional.
