Staff announcements from STB

The year ends with Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Mr Lim Neo Chian well on the road to recovery after a successful surgical procedure, and two of STB's directors taking on new appointments within the Board.

Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive recovering well

Mr Lim Neo Chian, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, was admitted to hospital on 31 October 2006 for medical treatment following a routine medical examination. Mr Lim was discharged from hospital on 7 November 2006 and has been recovering well.

STB’s operations and all of the Board’s activities and events have been proceeding as planned. STB’s senior executives continue to spearhead and oversee the day-to-day business functions and operations of the various divisions.

Mr Ken Low, Assistant Chief Executive Brand & Communications, is covering Mr Lim's duties until his return. We all wish him a speedy recovery and a good well-deserved rest.

International Group, ASEAN Mainland and Sightseeing & Cruise get new directors


Mr Chang Chee Pey, Regional Director for ASEAN (Mainland)

The STB is pleased to announce changes in its Director appointments. Mr Dayne Lim will be the new Director of Cluster Development with Sightseeing and Cruise. He will continue to oversee preparation for the ASEAN Tourism Forum in January 2007.

Mr Chang Chee Pey will take over as the new Regional Director for ASEAN (Mainland) and Mr Kevin Leong will take over as covering Coordinating Regional Director for international operation, in addition to his current roles of Senior Director of Special Projects and Regional Director of Oceania.

Their new appointments took effect on 1 December 2006.
