In-market Activities
In the month of December, Singapore will be participating in MedExpo 2005 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In addition, a one-day seminar with a healthcare focus aimed at providing insights on maximising business opportunities in the Gulf region will be held in Singapore.

"Conducting Business Effectively in the Gulf Region of the Middle East" Seminar
Organised by the STB’s Healthcare Services Division, this one-day seminar held on 5 December is targeted at business development staff and healthcare providers who have business interests with the Middle East market. The speaker, Mr Morley Price, will share insights on the Gulf Arabic culture and business practices. This programme, which has a healthcare focus, will provide participants with knowledge and practical tools to maximise business opportunities in the Gulf region and to enhance cross-cultural communication. |

MedExpo 2005
MedExpo 2005, the only medical equipment and medical exposition held annually in Dhaka, Bangladesh, will take place between 9 – 11 December. About 3,000 visitors are expected at the three-day exhibition, including doctors, trade professionals and the general public from Dhaka, Chittagong and Savar.
This year, the Healthcare Services Division with Parkway Group Healthcare, National Healthcare Group, Raffles Hospital and KK Women's and Children's Hospital, will be participating in MedExpo 2005. In addition to setting up a SingaporeMedicine pavilion at the exhibition, the team will be partnering the Ahsania Cancer Mission Hospital and the Marketing Alumni Association for medical and consumer seminars respectively. The seminars will focus on cancer updates and provide the audience with an in-depth understanding of the healthcare services and facilities available in Singapore. |
