Uniquely Singapore Yacht Does Singapore Proud The “Uniquely Singapore”, a magnificent 68-feet, state-of-the-art racing yacht came in second in the second leg of the Clipper 05-06 Round The World Yacht Race. The Uniquely Singapore crew held first and second positions at several points during the race from Salvador (Brazil) to Durban (RSA).
The Clipper 05-06 Round The World Yacht Race began its prestigious journey on the world’s longest run round-the-world course of 35,000 nautical miles from Albert Dock in Liverpool, United Kingdom on 18 September. This is the first time that Singapore is a destination on the race route.
Uniquely Singapore will be sailing to other destinations such as P R China and Korea. The yachts will berth at Singapore for 12 days in January 2006. |
