Unique2Me Photo Contest - Capture Images of Uniquely Singapore! The STB launched its first national photo competition, named Unique2Me, on 15 November. The competition was launched to discover the unique facets of life in Singapore, through the eyes of Singaporeans, residents and visitors here.
From now until 5 January 2006, Singapore residents and visitors can contribute images on landscapes, food, people, sights or even scenes from daily life that depict the unique aspects of Singapore. Participants can submit images taken with a digital camera or camera phone, together with a 25-word description of why the image is a unique representation of Singapore. Shortlisted entries will be uploaded on the contest website for online voting by the public.
In addition to Singapore’s tourist spots and renowned landmarks, there are many images of life in Singapore that await to be captured on lens. Through the contest, locals will be encouraged to go out and explore Singapore as they discover and experience the garden city in a new way.
By opening up this competition to people across the globe, the STB hopes to enhance the leisure experience of visitors in Singapore as well as to share the uniqueness of Singapore with the entire world through a collection of images that are distinctively Singapore.
Unique2Me is opened to both amateur and professional photography enthusiasts. Submissions for the Unique2Me photo contest are now open and will close on 5 January 2006. The public is also welcome to register for a day-long photography seminar by National Geographic Channel’s celebrity photographers, Ian Lloyd and Lester Ledesma, complimentary of the STB.
