2nd Asia Pacific Institute of Addiction
The theme of this year's conference is 'Many roads, One Journey' aims to help families and individuals recover from addiction through exploration of issues and options for recovery. It will be held from 1 to 5 September at the Furama RiverFront.

3rd APSIC Training Course in Infection Control 
The aim of the 8.5 days training course is to equip participants with comprehensive working skills necessary for the practice of Infection Control and Epidemiology.

A teaching faculty of infection control experts and experienced practitioners (both local and overseas) chosen for their topical expertise and teaching experience will conduct this course from 1 to 9 September at Fort Canning Lodge.

Xplore Singapore 2006
An adventurous and exciting challenge for all international students studying in Singapore.  This six-hour Land-Sea-Air Race brings the participants to various places where they get to decipher codes and solve puzzles about Singapore and winning teams stand to win attractive prizes. 

Students can register in teams of at least three members. The event is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board's Education Services Division. It will be held at the National Youth Park on 23 September.

Orientation Programme for International Students
This two-part programme (Talk and Tour) is conducted on a monthly basis for all newly-arrived international students studying full-time in Singapore.  They are briefed on Singapore Education and what to expect while studying and living in Singapore. 

Participants get to experience a typical neighbourhood housing estate and its many facilities, move around the Learning Hub and visit interesting places during the Orientation Tour. It will be held at Singapore Education Services Centre, 1 Orchard Road, on 30 September.
