Barclays Singapore Open 2006 Pro-Am The US$3 million Barclays Singapore Open, now one of the World’s top ten richest national golf opens, will be back on the greens of Serapong course, Sentosa Golf Club from 7 to 10 September to deliver another four days of star-studded golfing action.

Deepavali Light-up Deepavali (Festival of Lights) celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil, the celebrations will begin the Light-up of Little India along Serangoon Road from 21 September to 29 October.

Hari Raya Light-up Geylang Serai will burst into a hive of activity and radiant lights as Singapore ushers in Hari Raya Puasa with the annual festive light up from 22 September to 31 October. The streets of Geylang Serai will also bustle with activities as bazaars offering a wide variety of Malay delicacies and festive food, traditional clothing, textiles, household & decorative items will be set up.

Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival Light-up Chinatown will be lit up with giant colourful lanterns from 23 September to 15 October. Street bazaars will offer a wide variety of mooncakes and other festive delights. Besides dazzling fireworks on the opening night, children and adults alike can take part in a traditional lantern procession and later, enjoy street performances on Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road. |
