Whether it's watching 9,000 rounds of fireworks go off at the Singapore Fireworks Festival on August 5, 8, 11, 12 at Marina Bay or listening to stories at Sayang Singapore, the International Storytelling Festival, August 11 to 13 at the National Museum of Singapore, there's plenty to do this month. Don't miss the National Day Parade 2006 on August 9 live on television or at the National Stadium.

World Cyber Games 2006 Asian Championship
The World Cyber Games 2006 Asian Championship will be held from August 10 to 13 at Suntec City Convention Hall 602. The computer and video game festival involves several Asian countries.

Philips Singapore Cup 2006
At Singapore Indoor Stadium from August 11 to 13, the Philips Singapore Cup 2006 brings four top national basketball teams - Argentina, Gold Medallists at the 2004 Olympic in Athens, Defending World Champions Serbia & Montenegro, and Slovenia and Spain - to compete for the Singapore Cup 2006.

The world of WOMAD (World of Music, Arts & Dance) returns to Singapore! The passion and energy of musicians from around the globe will once again explode in the historical Fort Canning Park for a 3-day weekend from August 25 to 27.
