Media and educators familiarisation trip timed for SYF To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), the Singapore Tourism Board and the Ministry of Education collaborated on a four-day mega international media cum educators programme. The programme, targeting the key education generating markets, was aimed at showing off the vibrancy of Singapore’s education system and creating an opportunity for overseas educators to meet with local counterparts to explore areas such as student exchanges. A total of 30 media personnel and 30 top educators from the region participated in the event. The SYF is an annual event held to showcase the diverse talents of Singapore students in the performing arts, sports and uniformed groups. The grand opening ceremony was held at the National Stadium on 1 July with activities taking place at various locations in Singapore over the month of July.
