Singapore Youth Festival, Jul 1 – 28, Singapore The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF is organised annually to showcase the diverse talents of students in the performing arts, sports and uniformed groups. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the SYF, with the theme being "Reaching Beyond”. It also marks a first time collaboration between Singapore Education and Ministry of Education to internationalise the SYF. Invited overseas education visitors comprising media, educators and school groups from Greater China, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand are expected to join in the key highlight of SYF - the Opening Ceremony held on 1 Jul at the National Stadium. The Guest-of-Honour is Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

7th Biennial Meeting of the Asian Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (ASPN), Jul 3 – 5, Singapore The Asian Pacific Society for Neurochemistry was formed at the Sydney meeting of the International Society for Neurochemistry in 1991 in order to promote neurochemistry in the Asian Pacific region. It is modelled on the American and European regional neurochemistry societies, holding meetings every two years in the years when an ISN meeting is not held.

6th Asian Pacific Nurses (ASPAN) Convention, Jul 12 – 14, Singapore The 6th ASPAN Convention is a forum for participants to explore the challenges of globalization and its impact on nursing. The scientific committee has put together a comprehensive programme. Presenters will include colleagues from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States and Singapore. Speakers will share their expertise on new roles and educational methodologies for nursing practice, discussing legal, ethical and regulations issues and experiences in collaborations, partnerships and alliances.

Singapore Menopause Congress 2006, Jul 28 – 31, Singapore Menopause Research Society (Singapore) marks a new milestone in its development with the first Singapore Menopause Congress 2006. This event celebrates its collaboration with the Malaysian Menopause Society and the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation. The Congress will also feature collaboration with the Health Aging Association with a session dedicated to the discussion of the physiology of aging and its management.
