Four in race for IR at Marina Bay; Sentosa RFP soon
The Singapore government has received four proposals for the Integrated Resort (IR) at Marina Bay.
Genting International and Star Cruises; Harrah’s Entertainment and Keppel Land; Las Vegas Sands Corp and MGM Mirage and CapitaLand are the four parties bidding for the multi-billion dollar development, whose RFP process closed at 4pm on 29 March.
“We are excited to have received proposals from four established players for the IR at Marina Bay. We look forward to announcing the successful bid in mid 2006,” said Lim Neo Chian, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board.
Meanwhile, the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Integrated Resort (IR) at Sentosa will be launched on Friday, 28 April 2006.
“In recent weeks, we have received feedback on the RFP specifications from the various proposers for the IR at Sentosa. The launch date in April will allow the STB and the relevant agencies to review all the feedback,” said the STB.
The RFP will close on 10 October 2006. The award of the IR project at Sentosa is expected to be announced by the end of the year.
The ongoing RFP for the IR at Marina Bay will close at 4pm on 29 March 2006.
