The largest pre-school student group from China - three groups of 300 kindergarten children, teachers and parents - visited Singapore for five days/four nights.  Besides visiting a local kindergarten and participating in activities with Singaporean children, the groups also got to learn about the different cultures of Singapore by visiting Little India and Arab Street.  They also took time out to enjoy Singapore’s many attractions, some of which were educational for the students, such as the Jurong BirdPark, Night Safari, Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon.

This Uniquely Enriching Singapore tour package was customised for students in Tamil Nadu.  The three night package included a visit to at least one Singapore school where students had a chance to interact with their Singaporean counterparts through cultural activities, quizzes or debates.  The students also had learning experiences at NEWater Visitor Centre, the Singapore Science Centre, the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and the Jurong BirdPark.  Singapore’s multicultural heritage was also highlighted in a tour through Little India, Chinatown and Geylang Serai.

Singapore Fashion Festival 2005 Special Series - AZIO TV (Dong Feng)
This entertainment and fashion programme, presented by Taiwanese celebrity Patty Hou, positioned Singapore as the fashion capital of Asia through Patty’s adventures in Singapore.  The main highlight was the Singapore Fashion Festival with the latest spring and summer collections by international as well as local labels, raising Singapore’s profile to the Taiwanese as a nearby destination with the latest fashion trends.

Riding on a movie filmed in Singapore starring Sylvia Chang and Martin Yan, entitled ‘Hainanese Chicken Rice’, an assortment of free-and-easy and group itineraries to locations such as Chinatown, The Esplanade, Little India, Kallang River and Pasir Ris Park were created and marketed by travel agents in Taipei and Kaohsiung.  Another innovative effort included a special movie preview to media and travel agents with the director of the movie who shared with the audience his passion on filming in Singapore and on Singapore food.  Besides traditional print ads in leading newspapers, promotional activities included a lucky draw contest and direct mailers at Warner Village cinemas.
