Singapore Wins More Business Accolades
Singapore is TIME's Magazine's Top Business City in Asia Once Again For the fifth year running, Asian readers of TIME Magazine have again voted Singapore their Favourite Business City. Singapore’s MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions) facilities were also voted the best in Asia for the second year running.
These two awards add to the list of accolades that Singapore has clinched this year. These awards affirm Singapore’s reputation as a leading destination for business events and are a testament to Singapore’s strong appeal as a business and MICE destination.
Singapore Wins Best City Destination for CEI Events Singapore has outpolled its regional rivals and won the Best City Destination for CEI events in an annual survey conducted by the Conferences Exhibitions Incentives (CEI) Asia Pacific. In addition, the STB clinched top honours with 28.3 per cent of corporate buyers rating the STB as the best national tourism organisation in the region.
Besides the STB, industry partners such as the Suntec Singapore International Conference and Exhibition Centre came second in the readers’ choice of top purpose-built venues and Singapore Expo was third. The Ritz-Carlton clinched the top honours being the top hotel property for the CEI industry with the Shangri-La Hotel coming in second. Singapore’s national carrier SIA was the top airline for the CEI industry.
Earlier this year, Singapore clinched the Best BTMICE City title at the TTG Travel Awards and the Best Business City title presented by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific magazine.
The STB will continue to enhance the quality of Singapore’s MICE infrastructure and offerings, and enhance Singapore’s reputation as the premier host destination for business events. |
