Senior Shuffle
The STB has made several changes at the management level to put greater focus on key portfolios to achieve the Tourism 2015 targets. The changes, effective since January 16, include the following:

• Kevin Leong to relinquish his Acting Assistant Chief Executive (International) role and focus on his main responsibility as Regional Director, Oceania.  He will, however, take on the role of Senior Director (Special Projects) and assist the STB on consultancy projects. Dayne Lim is appointed Coordinating Regional Director for the International Group. He will continue as Regional Director, ASEAN (Mainland), but will relinquish his South Asia, Middle East Asia & Africa (SAMEA) portfolio. Kang Siew Kheng, currently Director, International Relations and Second Regional Director for SAMEA, will take up the role of Regional Director, SAMEA, while continuing with the International Relations portfolio.

• Assistant Chief Executive, Leisure & Planning, Dr. Chan Tat Hon, will relinquish the planning portfolio to focus fully on the leisure portfolio. The Planning Group will be run by Kok Ping Soon who is appointed as Coordinating Director, Planning. He will continue in his current appointments as Director, Sector Planning and Director, Leisure Planning.

• The STB welcomes Mr Chooi Yee Choong, who joined the STB as Regional Director ASEAN (Islands) and will be posted to Jakarta from 1 February, where he will steer and oversee the promotion and marketing of Singapore as a top-of-the-mind destination for business and leisure in Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines. Yee Chong has close to 21 years of experience in the airline industry. His key responsibilities in his previous stints include route and network development, market planning, advertising and promotion, air freight as well as the development of in-flight sales and services, and air freight. He also brings with him overseas experience, having been posted to countries such as Indonesia, Brunei, East Malaysia and Australia at various points of his career. Yee Choong’s extensive experience and exposure in the airline industry will add value to his role as Regional Director, ASEAN (Islands).

Lee Kai Yin will relinquish his appointment as Deputy Regional Director, ASEAN (Islands) with the same effective date and focus full time on Singapore Experience as its Programme Director.
