NanoSingapore 2006, to be held from 10 - 13 January, aims to bring together international academics, researchers, scientists, practitioners and students from the nanotechnology industry. It provides a forum to discuss new developments, concepts and practices, and to share field experiences, problems and solutions. The conference will also address the education and commercialisation of nanoelectronics. An exhibition will be held in conjunction with the conference.

APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Meeting
The APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) will be meeting in Singapore from 22 - 25 January. The Council was created by the APEC Economic Leaders in November 1995 to provide advice on the implementation of the Osaka Action Agenda and on other specific business sector priorities, respond to requests for information about business-related issues or to provide the business perspective on specific areas of cooperation.

IE Forum
International Enterprise Forum (IE Forum) is Asia's premier event on internationalisation that brings together today's most respected thought leaders and entrepreneurs to shed light on the strategy of bringing local businesses to the world.

To be held 24 - 25 January, IE Forum 06 will provide insights into the latest thinking on how to transform international opportunities into business successes.

IE Forum 06 will feature international business guru Ram Charan, co-author of the best selling and highly acclaimed book, “Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done” which was on the New York Times' best-seller list for more than 50 weeks.

Speaking for the first time in Southeast Asia, Ram will draw from real-life examples based on his experience advising companies, to illustrate how Asia's business leaders can make the strategies they create work for them. In a not-to-be-missed session, he will explain why execution cannot be delegated, provide the framework for flawless execution, as well as the tools to develop your own discipline of execution.

IE Forum 06 will also address other topics including the global implications of an emerging India-China partnership; the sustainability of the Middle East economic boom, and the creation of fresh opportunities in ASEAN.
